New on Hulu This Week: Top Movies & Series (Oct 26–Nov 1, 2026)
October 28, 2026 — 65Nation
Hulu’s week of October 26 to November 1, 2026 is short on new series but long on movies, with more than 30 titles arriving on November 1. For readers 65 and older, the standouts are a pair of true sports stories, a holiday favorite and a comedy everyone seems to love. We’ll also be straight with you about which new series are worth it and which aren’t.
Highlights for the Week
What’s the best movie on Hulu this week?
Secretariat, arriving November 1. Diane Lane is excellent, and if you watched the 1973 Triple Crown live, the final race will give you chills.
Is there something for the whole family?
Miracle on 34th Street (1994) lands November 1, and Percy Jackson and the Olympians, a fantasy series kids adore, arrives the same day.
Which new series is the most fun?
The Mob, a reality competition hosted by Parker Posey, where celebrities like Bruno Tonioli try to outsmart each other in an Italian villa. It’s silly, and that’s the point.
Top New Movies on Hulu This Week
Nov 1 – Miracle (2004)
Kurt Russell plays coach Herb Brooks, who builds a team of American college hockey players into the squad that beat the Soviet Union at the 1980 Winter Olympics. Patricia Clarkson plays his wife.
Many of us remember exactly where we were for “Do you believe in miracles?” This retelling earns that moment. It’s rated PG and fine for all ages.
Nov 1 – Miracle on 34th Street (1994)
Richard Attenborough plays a department store Santa who ends up in court trying to prove he’s the real Kris Kringle. Mara Wilson plays the little girl who isn’t sure she believes, with Elizabeth Perkins and Dylan McDermott.
It’s not the 1947 original, but Attenborough makes a wonderful Santa. Rated PG and a sweet choice for watching with the grandkids.
Nov 1 – Secretariat (2010)
Diane Lane plays Penny Chenery, a Denver housewife who takes over her ailing father’s horse farm and, against all advice, races Secretariat toward the 1973 Triple Crown. John Malkovich plays the trainer.
It’s an uplifting Disney film, rated PG, with nothing to worry about. A good one for a Sunday afternoon.
Nov 1 – The Devil Wears Prada (2006)
Anne Hathaway plays a young journalist who lands a job as assistant to Meryl Streep’s icy fashion magazine editor. Stanley Tucci and Emily Blunt are wonderful in support.
Streep is so good she makes a villain lovable. It’s rated PG-13 for some mild language and nothing more, and it’s a fun rewatch now that the sequel is out.

Oct 26 – The Mob (2026)
Parker Posey hosts this new Hulu reality competition from the makers of The Traitors. Twelve celebrities, including Bruno Tonioli, Debi Mazar, Aida Turturro and Joe Gorga, live in an Italian villa and pull off mob-movie-style “jobs” for up to $250,000. New episodes arrive weekly.
If you enjoy The Traitors or Dancing with the Stars, give it a try. Expect some backstabbing and a little bleeped language.
Oct 29 – Love Island Australia (2018)
Season 8 of the dating show arrives. Young singles pair up in a villa, swap partners and try to win the public’s vote.
To be honest, this one skews young, with plenty of innuendo and very small swimsuits. We’re listing it because so few series arrived this week, but most readers can skip it.
Nov 1 – Percy Jackson and the Olympians (2023)
Seasons 1 and 2 of the Disney+ fantasy series come to Hulu. Walker Scobell plays a boy who learns he’s the son of the Greek god Poseidon, based on Rick Riordan’s bestselling books, with Leah Sava Jeffries and Aryan Simhadri.
This is made for younger viewers, but it’s a great one to share with grandkids who love the books. There’s some mild fantasy action and a few monsters, nothing graphic.
