New on Prime Video This Week: Top Movies & Series (Oct 19–25, 2026)

Prime Video

Prime Video’s week of October 19 to 25, 2026 is short on movies but has some interesting series. This guide is for viewers 65 and up and covers movies and series only, so the football and basketball games are left out. Chris Pratt’s The Terminal List is the big return, and two Korean dramas start too.

Highlights for the Week

What’s the biggest new release on Prime Video this week?

The Terminal List Season 2 arrives Wednesday. Chris Pratt is back as Navy SEAL James Reece, now working with the CIA against a terrorist group. If you liked Reacher or Jack Ryan, this is your show, but it’s very violent.

Is there anything lighter to watch?

Try Final Table, a Korean drama about chefs competing at the top of their field, which starts Saturday. Love in Disguise, another Korean series, is a romantic comedy with a bit of mystery mixed in.

Are there any new movies?

Just one: The Bride!, a wild new spin on Bride of Frankenstein with Jessie Buckley and Christian Bale. It’s bold and strange, and it’s not for everyone.

Top New Movies on Prime Video This Week

Only one new movie arrived on Prime Video this week, so it’s the only pick here.

Oct 23 – The Bride! (2026)

Maggie Gyllenhaal wrote and directed this new take on the Frankenstein story, set in 1930s Chicago. Christian Bale plays the lonely creature, who asks a scientist to make him a companion. Jessie Buckley plays the woman brought back to life, and she has her own ideas about what happens next.

Fans of the old Universal monster movies may enjoy seeing a classic reworked with big stars and big style. I’ll be honest, though: this one is loud, odd and rated R for bloody violence, sexual content and language. If you prefer your Frankenstein in black and white with Boris Karloff, you may want to skip it.

Oct 19 – Love in Disguise (2026)

A former special forces officer turned detective, played by Seol In-ah, goes undercover to protect and investigate a wealthy heir who is a murder suspect, played by Im Si-wan. To do it she disguises herself as a man and joins his security team.

It’s a Korean romantic comedy with a thriller thread, and new episodes come every Monday and Tuesday through late November. It’s in Korean with subtitles. If you’ve already fallen for K-dramas, this is an easy one to add. The tone is playful, and the violence is mild.

Oct 21 – The Terminal List Season 2 (2026)

Chris Pratt returns as James Reece, a former Navy SEAL recruited by the CIA to help stop a terrorist group that’s gaining strength. The mission moves across the Indian Ocean, Africa, the Middle East and Europe, and it uncovers a wider conspiracy along the way.

If you like military thrillers in the style of Tom Clancy, this delivers plenty of action and a hero who doesn’t quit. The violence is graphic, and there’s strong language throughout, so it’s not a family pick. Catch up on Season 1 first if you’re new to the story.

Oct 24 – Final Table (2026)

This Korean drama follows top chefs fighting for a place at the very best table, with plenty of rivalry in the kitchen. Ahn Hyo-seop, who voiced Jinu in KPop Demon Hunters, plays a gifted chef, and the series runs for 12 episodes through the end of November.

Food lovers who enjoy cooking competitions or shows like The Bear (minus most of the yelling) should give it a try. It’s a good one to watch with a grandchild who’s into K-pop and K-dramas. It’s in Korean with subtitles.
