If you spent any part of the 1990s glued to a West Hollywood apartment complex full of scheming neighbors and jaw-dropping plot twists, you already know that Melrose Place was something special. Created by Darren Star and produced by Aaron Spelling, the Beverly Hills, 90210 spin-off ran for seven seasons and made household names out of its cast.
The show had a shaky start. Star himself admitted to PEOPLE in a 1994 cover story, “The show couldn’t define itself.” Then season 2 arrived, and with it, Heather Locklear. The ratings took off and never really came back down.
Thirty-four years after the premiere, many of the show’s most memorable women reunited for PEOPLE’s 2026 World’s Most Beautiful issue. Here’s a look at where the full cast landed after leaving that famous apartment complex.
Heather Locklear — Amanda Woodward
Locklear joined as advertising executive Amanda Woodward in season 2, and the character quickly became one of TV’s most beloved villains. “It was definitely a height of my career, it was great,” she told Good Morning America in 2012. She returned for the 2009 reboot, though that version was cancelled after one season.
In recent years, she made TV appearances on Franklin & Bash, Fresh Off the Boat and Too Close to Home. Previously married to musicians Tommy Lee (1986–1993) and Richie Sambora (1994–2007), she was later engaged to her high school sweetheart, Chris Heisser, from 2020 to 2025. In April 2026, she was spotted in Las Vegas with Falcon Crest alum Lorenzo Lamas, and a friend confirmed to PEOPLE that the two are dating.

Thomas Calabro — Dr. Michael Mancini
Calabro was the only original cast member to stay a series regular from the very first episode to the very last. He also appeared in the 2009 reboot. “With the notoriety of being so identified with Michael Mancini, it’s a blessing and a curse,” he told SheKnows that same year.
He has kept busy on TV since, with appearances on NCIS, Glee, The Last Ship and The Bay. He shares three children, Connor, Augie and Luca, with his ex-wife, Elizabeth Pryor.
Andrew Shue — Bill Campbell
After six years on the show, Shue pursued some unexpected goals. He played professional soccer and co-founded both CafeMom and the nonprofit Do Something with his childhood best friend, Michael Sanchez. He still looks back warmly on his time on set. “We weren’t catty. There were no divas. It really was a family,” he told a reporter in 2012.
Shue married Good Morning America anchor Amy Robach in 2010. The two separated in August 2022.
Josie Bissett — Jane Mancini
Bissett played Dr. Mancini’s wife for the first five seasons, then returned as a series regular for the final season. After the show, she had a recurring role on The Secret Life of the American Teenager from 2008 to 2013, made a two-episode appearance on the reboot, and starred in the Wedding March Hallmark movies.
She was married to castmate Rob Estes for 13 years before their 2006 divorce. The couple has two children, Mason and Maya. In 2017, she married Thomas Doig at a winery in Woodinville, Washington.
Doug Savant — Matt Fielding
Savant’s character died in a car crash in season 6, writing him out of the show. Off screen, his life turned out far better. He went on to land recurring roles on Desperate Housewives and 24, as well as countless guest appearances.
His best discovery from Melrose? His wife. He married costar Laura Leighton in 1998. “The best thing that happened to me as a result of Melrose was meeting my wife,” he told PEOPLE in 2007. The two have two adult children and are now grandparents of two.
Lisa Rinna — Taylor McBride
Rinna joined in season 5 as the scene-stealing Taylor McBride, a character who faked a pregnancy, broke up marriages, and hatched an elaborate scheme to win back her ex-husband. After leaving in season 7, she continued with a stint on Days of Our Lives and various other TV roles.
She has been married to actor Harry Hamlin since 1997 and has two daughters, Delilah Belle and Amelia Gray. She was also a cast member on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills for eight seasons before departing in 2023.
Grant Show — Jake Hanson
The actor actually appeared on Beverly Hills, 90210 first — producer Aaron Spelling cast him in a few episodes before he moved over to Melrose Place. He left the soap two years before its 1999 cancellation. Since then, he appeared on Big Love and Devious Maids and played Blake Carrington on the Dynasty reboot.
He married Pollyanna McIntosh in 2004, though the two divorced in 2011. He has been married to Katherine LaNasa since 2012, and they share one daughter.
Kelly Rutherford — Megan Lewis
Rutherford came onto Melrose Place as escort Megan Lewis and worked on the show from 1996 to 1999. She went on to become even better known as Lily van der Woodsen on all six seasons of Gossip Girl. She has also appeared in multi-episode arcs on Reckless, Gone and Dynasty, and was a series regular on Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists.
Courtney Thorne-Smith — Alison Parker
Thorne-Smith went straight from Melrose Place to Ally McBeal, then found long-running roles on According to Jim and Two and a Half Men. She has also guest-starred on Fresh Off the Boat, Past Malice and Mom.
She married her second husband, Roger Fishman, in 2007. Their son, Jacob Emerson, was born in 2008. She filed for divorce from Fishman in 2025, four years after the couple had initially separated.
Jack Wagner — Dr. Peter Burns
Wagner starred on Melrose from 1994 to 1999 and also appeared on beloved soaps The Bold and the Beautiful and General Hospital. In 2016, he reunited with Bissett in the TV movie Wedding March 2: Resorting to Love. He appeared on Dancing with the Stars in 2012 and in the Netflix movie Falling for Christmas in 2022.
Wagner began dating costar Locklear in 2007. The two got engaged in August 2011 but called it off in November of that year. He had been married to General Hospital costar Kristina Wagner from 1993 to 2006; the couple has two sons. Their younger son, Harrison, died in June 2022 at age 27. Wagner also has a daughter, Kerry, from a previous relationship. In 2025, he married musician Michelle Wolf after four years of dating.
Laura Leighton — Sydney Andrews
Leighton spent four years on Melrose as Sydney Andrews (a role she reprised on the short-lived reboot) but the show gave her something more lasting: her husband. She and Doug Savant have been married since 1998 and have two kids together.
Professionally, she had a seven-year run (2010–2017) as Ashley Marin on Pretty Little Liars, and has made appearances on L.A.’s Finest, Dynasty and Fantasy Island.

Marcia Cross — Dr. Kimberly Shaw
Many people know Cross from her eight seasons on Desperate Housewives, but her five-season run on Melrose Place gave fans one of the most unforgettable moments in ’90s TV: the scene where Dr. Kimberly Shaw pulled off her wig to reveal her scar. The Emmy- and Golden Globe-nominated actress also appeared on Quantico from 2015 to 2017.
Cross has been married to Tom Mahoney since 2006; they share twin daughters, Eden and Savannah. In 2017, she was diagnosed with anal cancer, but as of 2018 has been in remission.
Daphne Zuniga — Jo Reynolds
Zuniga played Jo Reynolds through the first four seasons and reprised the role on the 2009 reboot. “The kids don’t know us but their parents do,” she told Good Morning America in 2012. After Melrose, she appeared on One Tree Hill from 2008 to 2012 and has made guest appearances on NCIS, Fantasy Island and Dynasty, among others. She has also appeared in films including Summer Forever (2015), Heartbeats (2017) and Abigail Falls (2018). She married her longtime boyfriend, David Mleczko, in 2019.
Rob Estes — Kyle McBride
Estes joined in season 5 as restaurateur Kyle McBride. His character was married to Rinna’s Taylor — and in real life, Estes was already married to Bissett by the time she joined the cast. The two divorced in 2006.
Since Melrose, Estes has appeared on Suddenly Susan, 90210, Necessary Roughness, Daytime Divas, Famous in Love, and When Calls the Heart. He also plays Chancellor Ken Scott in multiple installments of the After film series.
Vanessa Estelle Williams — Rhonda Blair
Williams played fitness instructor Rhonda Blair but left after season 1 when her contract was not renewed. A few months later, she starred in the 1992 horror classic Candyman. Nearly three decades after that, she reprised her role as Anne-Marie McCoy in the 2021 direct sequel. In 2003, she received a Daytime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Performer in a Children’s Special for her performance in Our America.
She married Andre Wiseman in November 1992. The couple had two sons, Omar and Haile, before she filed for divorce in 2018.
