Martha Stewart has built her reputation on knowing how a home should run. Now she wants to share that knowledge with every homeowner in America through a new app.

Stewart and her co-founders, Yih-Han Ma and Kyle Rush, just unveiled a new company called Hint. It’s set to launch this summer.

What Hint Does

Hint is described as an AI-powered home management platform. Think of it as one place to track everything about your home: projects, renovations, purchases, repairs, and more.

The app is designed to help you make cost-effective decisions about home care and upgrades. It can also flag improvements that may increase your property’s value over time.

Stewart put it simply in a LinkedIn post:

“Think of it as a digital extension of the trusted teams that have helped me care for my homes for decades — the contractors, the plumbers, the gardeners, the designers — now available to every homeowner.”

What You Get When You Sign Up

Once your account is approved, you start by entering your home address. From there, Hint puts together a report with details that, as the company notes, are things “most homeowners never think to look up” like your property’s flood risk and climate zone.

Going forward, the app keeps an eye on your home and sends recommendations for upgrades and repairs.

Co-founder Ma described the goal this way in a statement: “Our mission is to act in the best interest of the homeowner, bringing clarity, confidence, and credibility to every decision.”

How to Get on the Waitlist

Hint isn’t open to everyone just yet. You can join the waitlist now at hinthome.com by entering your email address.

Stewart says the mission behind Hint is straightforward: “Empowering people to make their home a place they love and one of their smartest investments.” For anyone who owns a home and wants a little more help keeping it running smoothly, that sounds like a pretty good place to start.
