Mention this one to anime loving grandchildren and you will be a hero. A fair warning for older viewers: it is animated but quite violent, with sword fights and blood, so it is not a soft evening watch.

Sep 12 – A Love Other Than Yours (2026)

This Korean drama follows a married couple whose steady life is shaken when temptation walks in. Seo Kang-jun and Ahn Eun-jin lead a story about love, routine, and what holds a marriage together.

It is a gentle, grownup romance that rewards a little patience and is told with real warmth. It is in Korean with subtitles, and the pace is slow in a pleasant, unhurried way.

Sep 13 – Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba (2019)

The first four seasons of the smash hit anime arrive together, following young Tanjiro as he trains to become a demon slayer, save his sister, and avenge his family. The animation is stunning.

This is more a young person’s favorite than a 65+ comfort watch, but it is good to know about for family movie nights. Like the film above, it is beautifully made and also quite violent.
